Friday the 13

So as many have heard, I was stoked to watch Danny Hinote get some blood back for the dirty hit by Dustin Byfuglien in the last six seconds of their last meeting. never the less, with Andy back in the line up, someone had to scratch last night, and Danny did, but so did Byfuglien.

I acctually thought he was going to get a penalty or thrown out of the game at one point because he was livid with chicago's keith talking his mouth off.

Cristobal Huet, who only missed one during the night, unfortunatly for him, that was all it took.

Mason focused like none other. his look is intense. . .

. . . but not as intense as Kane's. This is in the final few minutes of the game. Chicago had a good opportunity but could not benefit from it.

I love this photo. Toews was trying to bait Barret Jackman for the entire first period. This was one of those moments.

The game was great and for all of those obnoxious chicago fans, I will see you on April 1st.

mom, mom look. . .

so I was not going to take pictures today, but during the last few minutes I decided to take a few, and I was thrilled to catch one of the cutest things ever. This kid and his mom came into the stands and the kid starts crying out "MOM, MOM, look it is ERIC BREWER, look mom!!!!" yep so cute.

a season of injuries

So I have a bit of an obsession w/ sports. specifically, hockey, cycling and swimming. for any of you who do not follow these fantastic expressions of energy, it is winter and therefore hockey season!!!. now, the Saint Louis Blues happen to be my favorite team and my hometown team, and they just so happen to have their practice rink about 10 mins from my house. This is why I have tons of pictures.
Well this season has been a bit of a tragety, simply because of injuries. let me list them

are all out of commission right now. but also during the season we have lost for extensive periods of time or for key games.

and these are only the people that I remember. there could possibly be more even though it seems impossible
that being said, let me tell you about my surprise when I came to practice and found not the whole team but only numbers 4, 10, 19 and 35 out skating. (also #55 Cam Janseen cam to skate) so exciting!!!!




I am determined to get a shot of this stuff getting broken during a game.

Skating in St.Louis

So in one of the coldest (well spasmodically cold) winters that I can remember, my January seems to filled with ice. From skating w/ the girls to stlblues; I can not seem to do anything else.
Here are some of my faves so far. . .


So I wish I could say that I know some one in this pick, but I do not, I just thought it looked neat.

Erin seemed to be the only person the whole night who was not completely blurred, so she is all throughout my photos.

Maybe one of my faves from the night. The girls look so chill out there on the ice.

After skating, we went to Kayak's for coffee (though everyone seemed to get dinner and tea)

So I have become really good at recognizing the Blues players, but I do not know who this is. . . but he looks good doing what he is doing.

I have not put up photos in forever, truth be told I have not yet edited most of my pics since october. so here are a few of the faves of the past couple of months.

So normally, i have not had the best position in the crowd to take pictures, so i worked around it to get good shots. This year i was maybe in the worse spot ever. I was dead center, behind the media fence, and i happen to have 2 men in font of me, both over 6'5". So every shot i took, I had to take blind (on my tip toes, with the camera fully out stretched over head), So I ended up with a lot of shots of others taking the picture that I would have liked to take.



So this is something I have not figured out. Why was this woman allowed in the media booth with that. She could have been a reporter, but then shouldn't she have brought a photographer with her.

Ok, so i should not complain to much, even though my spot in STL was not that good, I had a great place in St. Chuck. That was the only photographer in front of me.
