so here is the newest one. I like it a lot. we are having our baptism service and we are in luke 13:10 talking about the kingdom of God. from seed to tree...

(notice the water rings on the top, I mean come on it is a baptism service)

So I am going to start putting up my bulletin's for the church as well as some other things that I am working on.

This was the bulletin from 2 weeks ago. Marc was preaching on "gray" Christians, those who try to straddle the line which has been drawn in the sand.

Twin Oaks Coffee

So a few days after Jess got back from England, we went to a "coffee house" at Twin Oaks Presbyterian. These are just some of my faves, like usual.

So one day on facebook, this random kid Aaron, asked to be my friend. So after reading that we had several friends in common, I accepted. Now move to coffee house night, the first person I talk to is this kid Aaron, then it clicked, he is a Matthias kid.

I love this pic. There is tons of movement that contrasts with this stillness.

ok so it has been a while since I have blogged, in part because I lost my camera cord, but hopefully I will invest in another one soon. These are just a few of my latest faves...

Yay for cookies!!! Acctually I hate these cookies, but everyone else I know loves them, so I made some.

Don't they just look wonderful in photo's. I almost want to eat them.

The cookies came to this event where a large percentage of the women in our church came together for a cookie trade and an ornament exchange.

Ok, so I know it does not fit with the usual stuff I take photos of, but come on... do we relly need that many McDonald's?

I am learning to love glass and reflections a little more each day.

Look at that sky...It was amazing, I almost ran off of the road trying to get decent pictures of it.

We (my church) were helping a family with some yard work, and we decided to sell these tires on craigslist, but I fell in love with this pic. I feel like it should be on the wall of an old route 66 diner.

Thanksgiving

So for Thanksgiving my family from Missouri, drove down to Mobile, Alabama, were my uncle lives to celebrate together. These are just a few from the trip.


This is Gizmo, my aunts longhaired Chihuahua. Normally, I do not like small dogs, but this one was surprisingly non-yappy. I liked him very much.

My little bro, Nick, at the southern beach of Dauphin Island. Though it was unexpectadly chilly in Alabama, we still went to the beach to have fun. Several ofmy cousins who were with us had never been to the "ocean".

No one told my aunt that when you perform this trick, it works better with Diet Coke.

Nick at the old fort in downtown Mobile. Almost all 22 of us (that is of the ones who made it to Mobile, in total our numbers are reaching above 50) went out to the fort and the MartiGras Museum, which was nothing like I imagined.

So we were trying to get a shot of what it might look like with our family in the "Fort Jail". Apparently very few of them would be upset, and even a few would radiate.

So today I babysat for my second ever family with Seeking Sitters. I ws kind of nervous, because I realized how long it had been since I have worked with a single 18 month old. If you have several of them, I often find it easier than 1, because they entertain one another.



This kid is addicted to Dora the Explorer. The parents, like many others I have worked for, leave the TV on in the background of the play room. While we were playing the drums, I turned the channel to Dora, because it ws better than the other options, amost imediatelly he left me to watch/play with Dora.

I love this shirt, It made me laugh so hard. And then in this shot as he looks at it in disappointment.

Somehow fter halloween, he was able to conficate for himself a pumpkin to use as a chew toy.

I love these next two photos, because it shows the similarities of the children.

this might be my favorite of all, because it reflects the energy that this young man has.

So recently, I realized that I needed new profile pictures, because I had changed my hair color yet again. So here are some of my favorites from that night.

Wouldn't you know it, I have to take more, because I have since added pink to my hair :)
