Thanksgiving

So for Thanksgiving my family from Missouri, drove down to Mobile, Alabama, were my uncle lives to celebrate together. These are just a few from the trip.

This is Gizmo, my aunts longhaired Chihuahua. Normally, I do not like small dogs, but this one was surprisingly non-yappy. I liked him very much.
This is one of the place settings from the dessert table. You can see the five layer cheesecake in the background!!!!

My little bro, Nick, at the southern beach of Dauphin Island. Though it was unexpectadly chilly in Alabama, we still went to the beach to have fun. Several ofmy cousins who were with us had never been to the "ocean".

No one told my aunt that when you perform this trick, it works better with Diet Coke.

My aunt Ginger and her dog, Gizmo.

Nick at the old fort in downtown Mobile. Almost all 22 of us (that is of the ones who made it to Mobile, in total our numbers are reaching above 50) went out to the fort and the MartiGras Museum, which was nothing like I imagined.

Sarah, Brit and Alissa, all hanging out at the corner of the fort.

So we were trying to get a shot of what it might look like with our family in the "Fort Jail". Apparently very few of them would be upset, and even a few would radiate.

Sarah and Brit, as the King and Queen of Marti Gras. This was the theme of the meseum, I learned more about dress making than I did Marti Gras history.

One of the floats from a previous Marti Gras. Aren't the colors spectacular.

So I have more photos from the beach, the fort, and the museum that I will put up later.

So today I babysat for my second ever family with Seeking Sitters. I ws kind of nervous, because I realized how long it had been since I have worked with a single 18 month old. If you have several of them, I often find it easier than 1, because they entertain one another.

This kid is addicted to Dora the Explorer. The parents, like many others I have worked for, leave the TV on in the background of the play room. While we were playing the drums, I turned the channel to Dora, because it ws better than the other options, amost imediatelly he left me to watch/play with Dora.

I love this shirt, It made me laugh so hard. And then in this shot as he looks at it in disappointment.

Somehow fter halloween, he was able to conficate for himself a pumpkin to use as a chew toy.

I love these next two photos, because it shows the similarities of the children.

this might be my favorite of all, because it reflects the energy that this young man has.

So recently, I realized that I needed new profile pictures, because I had changed my hair color yet again. So here are some of my favorites from that night.

Wouldn't you know it, I have to take more, because I have since added pink to my hair :)

HALLOWEEN

So Nightmare before Christmas is one of my favorite movies, and for Halloween, I convinced my brother to be Jack Skellington. Then if that was not enough, after getting dressed, before trick or treating, we went to the local graveyard to take photos.

New Town

So almost every sunday, I am in New Town, at the Short's house for Lot Family. Every so often I will get there early or stay after and go around New Town taking photos, here are some of my faves.

I love reflections!!

A partial view of an ordinary night in New Town

Ok, so I know, I like pictures of "unusual" things, but I love the colors and lines in this.

This is the New "New Town Chapel". Though you can not see it all, the whole of the building is really quite lovely.

This is from the Koi fish pond.

Numero Uno

I decided to create a blog exclusively for creative outlet. Whether photos, painting, stories, poems or anything else...as long as it is "mine", then it belongs here.

I think specifically I want to use this for photos, to share with friends and family my favorites.
I love the colors and lines on this

Mac learning what happens to a fruit snack if you leave it in the sun to long.

Lexi posen it up as usual.

I know unusual, but I love this photo!

Ok that is it for now. I hope to put some of the edited photos from the Tour of Missouri up soon.
