Yep, I went to another game. Again, I also have a few photos up on the blues web for this game!!!






Jay McClement, this horrible game ended his point streak.





I really like this shot of Alex Steen, I might like it better in B& W, i will have to see.









Maybe my favorite pic of Jeff Woywitka, he looks so calm, that could be in part to the fact that Hossa was laid out down at the end of the ice during this time. Hossa is ok, but he did have to be wheeled out on a stretcher.







The crowd looking on while the mad crew made hossa ready for transport to the hospital. he slamed into the boards head first, but it was worse because this was his first game back after a short break away for a neck injury.








Cam going at it with Downey. I do not really know who won this one because they fought for nearly 2 mins. neither going down, though I think cam won, but I could be a little biased.









I also think that if you revert to biting, then you automatically lose, therefore Cam Janssen wins.











Barret Jackman, sandra this one is for you.










Patrik Berglund. every time i see this kid I can not help but think he looks like this perfect mix of my friends Sean and Davy, it is a bit scary.











and this is how they beat us 5-0 that night, but it was just an off night for us, and a revenge night for them.
no will forget the huge lose to nashville the game before, sorry wings.

blues vs. coyotes 02.24.09

So I have been blessed lately to get to attend several home blues games. Even more amazing was where I was able to sit. on the 15th of Feb. the PR department announced a new program where fans could send in their photos from the most recent home game (none of the photos from the 13th game count) and they would pick 7-8 to publish on the website. It is a sneaky marketing scheme, but even knowing that I still send in photos and three of the seven photos published for this game were mine!


so here are those, plus a few more

At the blackhawks game on the 13th, I got a blurry shot of Cam blowing a bubble while practicing (I think most hockey players want to accidentally bit off their tongue), so now I am determined to get the shot only in focus. I have not yet succeeded. I missed it by like 2 seconds. . .




Brad Boyes. When he first got to the team, I was actually annoyed, not because of what it cost us to get him, no it was his name. I would yell something like "come on boys!" referring to the whole team, but how when your screaming is there any difference between "boys" and boyes". so even if he was not on the ice you were still cheering his name. it still kind of aggravates me. but I will get over it 'cause he is amazingly talented.

from this photo I met a chick on facebook who has a pretty massive crush on his face. it is kind of funny.






Jay McClement who would later go on to score the game winning goal in this game, and then another goal a few days later against them again.







I love the chaos of a scrap behind the net. you can see woywitka and Jay McKee's helmet, but who you can not see are TJ oshie and David Perron who actually caused this skirmish.

Friday the 13

So as many have heard, I was stoked to watch Danny Hinote get some blood back for the dirty hit by Dustin Byfuglien in the last six seconds of their last meeting. never the less, with Andy back in the line up, someone had to scratch last night, and Danny did, but so did Byfuglien.

I acctually thought he was going to get a penalty or thrown out of the game at one point because he was livid with chicago's keith talking his mouth off.

Cristobal Huet, who only missed one during the night, unfortunatly for him, that was all it took.

Mason focused like none other. his look is intense. . .

. . . but not as intense as Kane's. This is in the final few minutes of the game. Chicago had a good opportunity but could not benefit from it.

I love this photo. Toews was trying to bait Barret Jackman for the entire first period. This was one of those moments.

The game was great and for all of those obnoxious chicago fans, I will see you on April 1st.
